  • During Q1FY21, I was transfer as Business Planning Manager (BPM) reporting under Group Head – Retail Banking
  • This was first direct role where I was assisting to head of largest line of business segment consisting around ~40% of book size and over 35% of human resources strength
  • Under Retail Group, We had 7 broader functions including Branch Banking, Consumer Lending, SME Lending, Channel Lending (Gold Finance, Agricultural Finance, Logistic Leasing, etc.), Private Banking, Employee Banking and Network Optimization.
  • Key strengths & achievements:
  • During FY23, been member of senior management committee handling trade decisions
  • Actively worked as POC for Retail Banking Trade Business including Treasury Management, Internal Approval Matrix, Data Reporting
  • Managed to surpass trade target by 48% clocking Retail Foreign Trade at USD 1.05 billion and multifold growth in Trade NFI and related FX Income.
  • With progressive improvement and team synergies, managed to achieve and surpass FY23 KPIs in all aspects including NII, NFI and Net Profit.
  • Managed to get 45% growth in EB book with total mandates of ~865 in FY22 and total deposit book of ~Rs.10 billion including 85% CA

  • Joined JS as Team Lead Wholesale Banking Group comprising Private Banking, business needs of Wholesale (Including Capital Market – Stock Exchange Branches) large size customers across Pakistan and International Banking Group
  • I was mainly responsible for support function to Business Head in addition to heading portfolio of Rs.30 billion including loans, deposit, and trade book.
  • Total portfolio under group was managed by team of senior professionals and divided in 9 departments / units having aggregate portfolio of Rs.200 billion including advances, deposits and foreign trade business comprising 30% of Bank’s overall book size and over 35% in terms of profitability.
  • Key strengths & achievements:
  • Developed dedicated Business Intelligence Unit to monitor regular performance and evaluation of units under reporting.
  • Formed specialized Technology Development desk to serve I.T oriented business segment including remittances handling, financing needs and cross vendor valued added services.
  • Doubled group operational profitability in just 18 months period.
  • Managed to achieve global presence of our International Banking Unit by building asset base of over USD 100 million.
