• Responsible for the O&M and supervision of the Optical Fiber network of Long haul, Metro, Access and corporate in the wide spread area of about 1350 Km
• Maintenance and operations of FTTH/FTTP (GPON) network of 16000 ODN lines under my domain
• Responsible for generating weekly and monthly reports and OFC network health check analysis
• Maintenance and rehabilitation of Long Haul, Access, Metro and corporate optical fiber network to ensure QoS
• Planning ring formation to provide uninterrupted services to valued customers
• Coordination with different civic agencies i.e NHA, PHA, CDA, WASA, RDA etc to protect the PTCL backbone optical fiber network during major development activities
• Responsible for planning and shifting of optical fiber cables outside of constructional activity sites to ensure smooth communication
• Planning and implementation of Diversity Arrangements
• Commissioning & Acceptance Testing (PAT) of the newly deployed optical fiber cable links.
• Team management and monitoring of line patrolling staff through (WFM) work force management software
• Use of optical fiber test instruments i.e OTDR (Acterna MTS 5000/6000, JDSU, Viavi, Exfo), OFC Cable Locator, Fiber Scope, Power Meter and Light Sources
• Fusion Splicing of Optical Fiber Cable with FUJIKURA (50S/60S/62S/90S) splicer

Achievements

• Successfully handled the planning and shifting arrangements of PTCL core optical fibers cable network during mega development project of Metro Bus Service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad
• Successfully completed task to provide uninterrupted communication by timely shifting the optical fiber cables during construction of Pir Wadhai Fly over, Zeropoint interchange, 7th Avenue interchange, Peshawar More interchange, IJP Road Rehab project and widening of Srinagar highway Islamabad
• Successfully planned and implemented relocation of PTCL core optical fiber cable from CPEC route site in Fatehjang - Jand – Kohat section to avoid frequent breakdowns.
• Successfully completed the commissioning and testing of newly deployed GPON (FTTH/FTTP) network of 16000 ODN lines
• Trained new employees on proper protocols and customer service standards.
