Following are my key responsibilities in this role:

• - Led end-to-end preparation of financial feasibility studies for new and existing site investments, including analysis of sales potential, asset replacement requirements, projected cash flows, and regulatory compliance to support strategic capital allocation decisions.
• - Prepared financial statements and ensured full compliance with applicable regulations and reporting standards through to authorization and publication on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
• - Liaised with external auditors for interim and annual audits, ensuring financial statements were prepared in accordance with IFRS and IAS requirements.
• - Coordinated with auditors on special assignments, including stock audits, Price Differential Claim (PDC) audits, and other regulatory assignments, ensuring completion within stipulated timelines and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• - Corresponded with and provided requisite information to OGRA, the Ministry of Energy, and other regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to compliance obligations.

• - Planned and executed risk-based audit engagements in accordance with ISAs, including risk assessment procedures, identification of significant risks of material misstatement, and development of audit strategies and programs.
• - Performed substantive procedures and tests of controls to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence and evaluate key financial statement assertions.
• - Prepared audit working papers in compliance with ISAs, ensuring proper documentation, audit trail integrity, and adherence to quality standards.
• - Coordinated with engagement managers and seniors throughout the audit lifecycle, ensuring timely communication of audit progress and resolution of issues.
• - Assisted in preparation of audit reports and management letters, highlighting control deficiencies, audit findings, and recommendations.
• - Liaised with client finance teams to obtain audit evidence and resolve audit and accounting issues within reporting timelines.
• - Identified internal control weaknesses and process inefficiencies, providing recommendations to strengthen controls and improve financial reporting reliability.
