  • Initiate real estate development projects that include commercial and residential properties for either resale or rent them to banks and multinationals

  • I was placed under the supervision of Accounts Manager in the areas of following responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Function
  • I was responsible for processing supplier invoices against the supply of material for drilling of oil and natural gas wells
  • They were big international suppliers and they required special attention
  • All invoices were sent to my office and I was responsible for processing and tracking the invoices
  • Before I joined the office, the system of payment was very weak and the suppliers used to stop supplies due to nonpayment because the payment process was very extensive and lacked coordination between the departments
  • The operations department was constantly blaming finance department for halt of work on sites and finance department was blaming operations for delaying approval on invoices
  • I rationalized and optimized the process on SAP (the operating system) and started real time tracking of all invoices
  • Anyone from the office could log on SAP and see the status of the invoice and I made sure that nobody delayed the approval of invoices
  • The optimization of the process solved the problem and there was no delay on work on sites
  • Extensive use of Accounting Software SAP which was linking not only all the offices in Pakistan but also online with the headquarters in Australia
  • Compliance of other statutory requirements specific to Oil & Gas Industry viz
  • Central Excise Duty, Royalty filing, Withholding tax & GST.
