Role Summary:-

• Expert in medico marketing of oncology brands.

• Drive development, implementation and monitoring of the medical plans of assigned therapeutic disease areas and ensure its alignment with the country's medical vision.

• Provide medical expertise and customer insights to the brand teams.

• Define and execute short term to long term vision for scientific engagement including scientific communications and strategic scientific partnerships through interaction with TAEs.

• Provide scientific support for cross functional partners in medical training, scientific query handling, speaker material preparation and scientific activities.

• HCP engagement in scientific forums and conferences.

Translate clinical/scientific evidence into local value messages and communicate those in cross functional collaboration to relevant stakeholders in a tailored manner .

Core Responsibility:

Medical Manager Foundation Medicine (2020-Ongoing ):

• As an MM along with FMI team , established the concept of Comprehensive Genomic Profiling via Next Generation sequencing for cancer patients.
• Organizing regular scientific sessions with KOLs of oncology and connect them with global experts.
• Have started a monthly Molecular Tumor Board with Foundation Medicine in collaboration of Society of Medical Oncology Pakistan.
• In order to educate and equip upcoming oncologists routine scientific sessions , report deep dives are done. Also in the process of arranging preceptorship program with Turkey for oncologists and pathologists .
• Point of contact between Foundation lab and local hospitals who have enlisted FMI or physicians who send an FMI test for their patients.
• I prepare and customize materials (medical slides to be shared with doctors and training material for internal stakeholders)
• Train new colleagues and conduct refresher sessions to stay update and enhance our capabilities as a team

Medical Manager Breast Cancer Portfolio ( 2019-2020)

• In Dec 2019, took over the role of national Medical Manager for Breast Cancer Portfolio .
• I carried out the pre launch activities of Kadcyla . It involved establishing the concept of Residual Disease in Early Breast Cancer patients.
• Prepared an email campaign to be shared with doctors to understand residual disease .
• Led the first Multidisciplinary Scientific Session , connecting foreign Breast Cancer Surgeon ( UK based ) with local BC surgeons and oncologists to emphasize the importance and establish the need of MTD approach in treating Breast Cancer.
• Collaborated with regional Allied specialty coordinators of Roche to carry out MTD sessions involving Belgian and British experts with local surgeons (Public hospital setting) to discuss complicated BC cases and emphasize a close collaboration with oncologists to treat BC cancer patients.

Regional Medical Manager (2017-2019)

• As a regional Medical Manager based in North Region , I had the opportunity to work in different portfolios besides oncology.
• Pre launch of Tecentriq : I was part of the team that set the market for the launch of first registered Immunotherapy in Pakistan in Oncology .In my region I connected with KOLs and carried out numerous scientific discussions and activities .
• Pre launch of MabThera SC : I carried out the activities in my region in key institutes where efficacy and safety of MabThera SC was established and nurses were trained on its administration. Lead the internal training of marketing and sales department on MabThera SC before launch.
• Pre launch of Herceptin SC: Carried out extensive pre launch activities in North region to establish the safety and efficacy of Herceptin SC through carrying out scientific sessions and nurses training activities in all major institutes. For the same pre - launch , arranged in my region a one its kind hybrid session connecting three main cities of Pakistan with a speaker in Russia.
• Supported Rheumatology and Neurology teams in my regions to connect with doctors, accompanied KOLs of Rheumatology and neurology to international congresses.

Additional Responsibilities/ Projects :

• Review and support to Access Department (2019-2021) in providing clarification for product related queries for UNMOL patient support program
• Partnering with Green Star and Roche Access (2020) : trained the staff on breast cancer disease background, prepared breast self examination material and video which was dubbed in three local languages to equip them to raise awareness for breast cancer in women who visit Green Star centres. This project was nominated in top five access initiatives by Roche Global.
• Implementation and launch of new GSD system ( 2020)
• Affiliate SPOC & Superuser for Veeva Vault PromoMats ( 2020 and ongoing ), which involved launching the VVPM at the affiliate level. After the initial launch , all the updates and queries regarding the system are handled by me along with routine role of Medical Reviewer for Promotional and Non promotional material .
• Area SPOC CEETRIS region (2020-2021) for Veeva Vault PromoMats a part of EpiCX which is a global content management system for Roche. I represented the countries in CEETRIS region and connected them to global team.
• HR+ BC Affiliate med education co- creation panel (2020): I was part of the team for Hormone positive Breast Cancer pipeline drugs. This panel consisted medical colleagues from different affiliates to review and provide insights for the education material prepared by Roche global.
• Connected Leaders Course (August 2021- October 2021): I successfully completed the connected leaders course which trained us to how develop efficient , effective and energizing relationships to bolster productivity and well being.

Dental Surgeon ( 2011-2016) : I worked as general dentist in clinics with Dr. Shela Azim and Dr Beeish Qamar.

Dental Surgeon (2006-2010): I worked a dental surgeon in a military dental center at an army base , Pano Aqil cantonment where I was responsible for conduction daily OPDs.

House Job, Baqai Dental College (June 2001 – May 2002): Worked in three monthly rotations in different OPDs. Supervised undergraduate students in clinical procedures.
