• Collaborating with the Pulmonology department proved to be an immensely valuable experience. Engaging in the daily morning rounds provided me with a firsthand understanding of the intricate management of patients within the ICU. This exposure was particularly enlightening, as it allowed me to witness the comprehensive care provided to critically ill individuals, including those reliant on mechanical ventilation for respiratory support. The opportunity to delve into the nuances of managing such complex cases significantly broadened my medical insight and underscored the significance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

• As a member of Dr Wahab's team, I conducted daily evaluations of 8-10 assigned patients, including those with ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, hypertensive heart disease, venous insufficiency, and other medical health problems. I was involved in history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of investigations, case presentations during rounds, case discussions, and explaining management plans to the patients. I also attended and participated in weekly case conferences. I got used to the EMR system and assisted my supervisor in writing clinical notes too.

• As a member of Dr. Soni's team, I observed numerous patients including those with irritable bowel syndrome, acute cholecystitis, primary biliary cholangitis, recurrent pancreatitis, and chronic constipation. I also attended morning reports, noon conferences, and presentation meetings which were profound learning experiences. Additionally, I observed clinical procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies under the attending's supervision. This rotation improved my team player abilities and provided me with exceptional clinical experience by working within an academic hospital.

• As an intern, I took admissions, and inducted initial management of the patients on my service under the supervision of my senior resident and attending physician. I took detailed histories, performed appropriately directed physical exams, ordered baseline tests such as CBC, EKG, CXR and documented all patient data in the patient chart, regularly updating it with progress notes. Every morning, my case presentations were followed by comprehensive discussions within the team to reach an appropriate treatment and management plan for the patient. I also placed central lines, arterial lines, peritoneal taps, and performed intubations which were appropriate for my level of training.

• I performed the duties of an extern at this clinic of Dr Noreen. I was involved in history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of investigations, case presentations during rounds, case discussions, and explaining management plans to the patients. During this experience, I learned rapid decision-making and interprofessional teamwork in the management of patients. I assisted my supervisor in multiple clinical tasks and management. I did online research to discuss various treatment modalities and advancements regarding patient management.

I attended and held Covid awareness campaigns during the pandemic.

Created online social groups to provide medical guidance to patients.

• Company Overview: Blood Donors Society is an organization of my medical school, which is run by medical students.
• I was an active member of this organization for 4-years. During this experience, I educated people and addressed their concerns regarding blood donation. I also managed volunteers for blood donations to meet the urgent needs of patients with hematological disorders, facing trauma, and undergoing lifesaving procedures. Additionally, I worked closely with multiple hospitals to help them arrange volunteers for donations. This experience gave me confidence and instilled management skills in me.

• Company Overview: SOS Children's Villages is the largest child welfare organization in Pakistan.
• I visited this orphanage with a group of volunteers during the fourth year of my medical school. I provided my services in the education department of this organization. I talked to the kids, inquired about their problems, and explained to them the importance of education. I also took science classes on weekly basis and distributed white coats among the kids to motivate them toward science and medicine. Furthermore, I raised awareness among my colleagues about the problems faced by those kids and managed to raise $1500 for this special place.
