After testing and handing over the SLA for preventive & corrective maintenance for a period of 5 years after successful completion of warranty period also part of this contract. The project included CAPEX and OPEX. This project executed as General Manger (Tech) till July 18,2023.
• Recently worked with Consultant Company (M/s Telecom Engineering And Consultancy House (Pvt) Ltd & STL on Consortium) in Islamabad as OFC expert (Consultant) on Consultancy Services to conduct a study for USF’s Next Generation Optic Fiber Network &Services Program in Pakistan,Tender ID: USF/NG-OFNS/2020/01. My role in this consultancy study was Installation, ROW and Technical matters report writing and collection of data from telecom operators, service providers and ROW departments including USF OFC programs lunched before this study. National Broadband Policy, Ignite Rules, and associated industry documents. Focus was to identify service providers under each license and assess their eligibility to participate in USFCo OFC programs. Study was directed to assess and identify provisions available with all licensed telecom service providers across the telecom service provisioning value chain to participate in USFCo Next Generation Optic Fiber Network & Services Program. The study has recommended applicable regulatory allowances/permissions and possible avenues have been proposed aligned with the regulatory allowances / permissions to enhance broadband data services uptake at user level
• While worked recently as Monitoring Auditor Expert in (TEACH-STL Consortium) and supervised more than 10 projects of OFC lots audits in nation wide comprising scope and work methodology as per USF term of reference (ToR).The tasks has been undertaken during conducted of monitoring audit with USF OFC Programs executed by service providers (PTCL, Naytel & Wateen Telecom) to maintain the quality of network & equipment health. Performed the test on OFC Nodes on USF locations included in monitoring visits, as per monitoring methodology, this will include BoQ verification, Physical infrastructure inspection, Inspection of Transmission and Power equipment, upgradation on site in case of newly deployed equipment testing/inspection included OTDR and Source/Power meter test. The results recorded on check lists provided by USF.Performed tests using standard tools/ test equipment fresh calibrated. Tests include OTDR traces obtained on dark fibers. Similarly, Source/Power meter value is obtained using power meter to detect fiber health as per standard. Checked & recorded the Capacity and ratings of the power solution as per contract provided by service provider and any backup solution deployment (Secondary). Similarly, for Transmission the capacity of optical/Electrical equipment noted as in case any upgradation in optical or electrical equipment (modules, SDH cards) capacity and bandwidth
• In last three years conducted OFC monitoring audits as Consultant Engineer more than 200 nodes and 3000km OFC network comprising different lots where network laid by Service Providers mostly PTCL.
