Proficient in utilizing advanced equipment such as Faros, Oertli, and Dorc systems, and skilled in performing intricate segmentations and delaminations through bimanual dissections with chandelier lights. Committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes through a combination of technical skill and a deep understanding of retinal pathology.
Independently perform Vitreoretinal Surgical Procedures for simple and comples detachments including but not limited to ILM peels for macular holes, segmentations and delaminations for tractional retinal detachments; gas and oil tamponades for all kinds of rhegmatogenous retinal detachments including removal of intraocular foreign bodies, dropped IOLs and nuclei Comfortable with the use of Oculus BIOM and other viewing systems along with 23, 25 and 27G instruments
Extensive experience in applying intraoperative endolaser as well as Panretinal phtocoagulation for proliferative diabetic retinopathy , barrage laser, and barrier laser for retinal breaks Also expert in performing Nd:YAG laser capsulotomies and iridotomies
High volume cataract surgery using phacoemulsification including but not limited to the EDOF IOls
Experience with multiple machines including but not limited to Faros surgical platform for anterior and posterior segment procedures; Oertli, DORC Eva, Alcon Accurus
With extensive experience in reading and interpreting OCT scans, I posses a deep understanding of retinal anatomy and pathology allowing me to accurately identify and diagnose various ocular conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and macular telengiectasia
I have extensive experience in teaching both undergraduate medical students and post-graduate doctors via lectures, group/case discussions, clinical methods teaching as well as transfer of clical skills in wet labs and operating theatres
I am approved supervisor, trainer and examiner for General Ophthalmology Fellowship training (LevelII) as well as Fellowship in VitreoRetina (Level IV) approved by the only fellowship awarding authority in Pakistan (College of Physcians and Surgeons, Pakistan)
