- Checking of storage in lay down area upon receipt of material.
- Attending to RFI’s raised by concerned at various stages of inspection and for various activities (Fit-up & Welding, Inspection, NDT Inspection, Alignment, Bolt Tightening, Shear Stud Bending, Gratings Fixing, Handrail Erection, etc.).
- Visual Inspection of welded joints of steel members according to AWS D1.1.
- Bolt tightening inspection of steel members.
- Inspect structure with reference to various tolerances and specifications and also ensure usage of appropriate Material sections, Fasteners and Consumables being used.
- Ensure that Qualified Welders, WPS & PQR are being implemented to perform tasks and NDT (UT, RT & MPI) requirements are fulfilled as per ITP.
- Release of structure from preceding department after inspection.
- Ensure the installation of structure as per the approved drawings.
- Prepare MES (Method of Statement), ITP (Inspection Test Plan), MIR (Material Inspection Report), MDS (Material Delivery to Site), WIR (Work Inspection Request), Various daily activity report like (Cutting, Dimension, Fit-up, Welding, Blasting and Painting).
- Prepares the inspection reports, internal NCR's etc.
- Perform materials inspection, review inspection and traceability reports.
- Monitor the establishment of welder qualifications, welder testing and welder registers.
- Coordinates, review and endorsement of contractor NDT and welding procedures, inspection documentation.
- Arrange TPI (Third Party Inspection) for NDT, DFT etc.
- Monitor the Working Site Air Temperature, Relative Humidity, Due point etc.
- Inspect WFT, DFT by using the relevant inspection tools.
- Usage of different inspection tools like DFT meter, Hygrometer, Cam-gauge, Profile gauge, Infrared thermometer etc
- Report to the QA/QC Manager, control and monitor all quality related activities at project construction site.
