Educational Leadership

I am responsible for providing educational leadership for a wide range of educational interventions and programmes (including online and face to face programmes Certificate and Diploma Courses as well as MHPE programs - at a national level). I am leading on the formulation, development and integration of these programmes.

Educational Research

I have published the first book on selection criteria for medical schools and postgraduates in medical education, by Amazon Publishing Ltd. I am first author on the majority of articles published. I have peer reviewed for five journals. I have led on the medical educational research strategy. I have supported the educational research development of junior staff. I was first author on the paper that won the most cited Paper at the Medlinx in 2012: the paper was Personality types and specialist choices I was recommended for Fellowship in Medical Education' series of the Academy of Medical Educators in 2014.

Assessment And Evaluation

I have contributed to the medical educational research literature in evaluation and assessment particularly on the issue of curriculum techniques. I am leading on the development of evaluation reports for external stakeholders.

Standards And Accreditation

In June 2007, I had prepared the 1st Self-evaluation report of college of Medicine of KKU requested by Saudi Society for Accreditation. Being the leading member of Pakistan Medical Education Nation committee, I have contributed heavily in formulation of several National policy documents like Standards for Pakistani Medical and dental Schools and Accreditation policies as well as Curriculum Evaluation national surveys and inspections. I remained Pakistan accreditation body inspector for medical and dental colleges.

Teaching And Supporting Learners

I have led on the integration of complex and interdependent learning environments. I have developed the educational strategy for changing or not changing teaching and learning activities and communicated the strategy and rational to external stakeholders. I have led on quality improvement in medical education and have been responsible interpreting and synthesizing feedback from learners and teachers and driving forward quality in light of this. I have actively sought to incorporate both teachers and learners into a community of practice.
