Shazmina Sharif

I am a dedicated professional who is passionate about learning, leadership, social impact and creating positive changes. My work focuses on empowering communities, addressing systemic issues, and creating opportunities for long-term growth and development. As a Fellow at Teach for Pakistan, I collaborate with educators, policymakers and all the stakeholders to address systemic educational challenges and try to come up with innovative ideas that aim to make education more equitable in under-resourced communities. This experience has improved my leadership and collaboration skills while also deepening my understanding of the complexities of the education sector. As Executive Director of the Umeed e Bashar Foundation, I oversee projects that assist children who are less fortunate while gaining valuable advocacy and community empowerment experience. Along with my professional endeavors, I am deeply concerned about climate change and its effects on vulnerable communities. Therefore, I joined Green Youth Movement in 2023-2024 which aimed to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change. I actively advocate for sustainable practices and look for ways to incorporate climate awareness into my projects, emphasizing the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.
