  • I was taught common obstetric procedures under direct supervision of the Professor of gynaecology and obstetrics and her team of consultants.
  • My responsibilities included supervised as well as independent clinics, care of patients in ward, looking after all kinds of obstetrics emergencies during the busy on-calls and performing elective and emergency obstetrics procedures independently and under supervision.
  • I attended operation theatres three days in a week and performed on call duties twice a week.
  • In this hospital we attended weekly clinic-pathological conference. In addition to this a weekly morbidity/mortality conference was a routine of the gynaecological department.
  • I managed various cases of obstructed labour, eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, ruptured ectopic, ante-partum hemorrhage, post-partum hemorrhage, DIC, molar pregnancy.
