  • Served as Senior Programme Manager of UNHCR funded -Afghan Refugees livelihood development and rehabilitation programme where I ensured all project objectives along with donor compliances are being timely met.
  • Supported in strengthening the underlying systems and procedures of Pak Mission Society (PMS) resulting in PMS scoring high in many due diligences conducted by UN agencies and other reputed donor agencies.
  • Programme design team member for Climate Action theme of Pak Mission Society. I contributed developing proposals for two innovative projects namely Child Driven Climate Action and Green Churches.
  • I attended COP 28 where Pak Mission society convened one of the sessions in faith pavilion. I was part of the team which presented its recommendations on loss and damage fund and climate financing for Pakistan.
  • Designing of data collection and analysis tools for monitoring and evaluation of respective programme.

CSSF Democracy Programme

  • Managing partner contracts such as accountable grant agreements, commercial contracts, MoUs etc. and associated extensions or amendments.
  • Reviewing and scoring potential partners proposals, ensuring its alignment with FCDO’s Programme objectives/business case.
  • Monitoring partner spending and providing financial management of assigned projects, ensuring accurate monthly forecasting, quality assuring financial reports and invoices, processing payments to implementing partners, and supporting audits, where relevant.
  • Oversee monthly / quarterly narrative reporting of project activities for assigned projects, ensuring the reports arrive on time, are linked to amounts reported in financial reports, are of appropriate quality and have the required sign off by Programme and policy leads.
  • Representing Programme in Senior governance structures such as Operational Board and Regional Board meetings etc.
  • Monitoring project-level risks and ensuring appropriate mitigating action is taken and flagged to the Programme Manager.
  • Overseeing project-level reviews and completion reports for assigned projects, ensuring the reports arrive on time, are of appropriate quality and have the required sign off by Programme and policy leads.
  • Engaging regularly with partners of assigned project, meeting project partners monthly, attending relevant workshops/monitoring visits and sharing knowledge internally to inform others of important events and, as necessary, seek their engagement.
  • Monitoring Annual Review recommendations at project level and ensuring partners implement them.

  • Analyzing financial performance of implementing partners and making sure activities are aligned to overall objectives and are in line with the value for money prospects of democracy Programme.
  • Stake holder relationship management, this includes building strong linkages and relationships with all stake holders involved.
  • In this role, I was responsible for building and maintaining a positive relationship with government and non-government organizations such as PIPS, Provincial Assemblies, Election Commission of Pakistan and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) etc.
  • Supporting Programme monitoring activities by going on field visits to verify different means of verifications of partner’s results and share back to office report highlighting key issues and successes of the event.

  • Worked as an 'Assistant Project Manager' in the British High Commission Islamabad from November 18th, 2013, to June 2017.
  • In this role, I provided support and assistance to project managers in the management of various projects under the CSSF.

  • Some of my key responsibilities included:
  • Assisting project/Programme managers in the coordination and management of joint programmes. This involved tasks such as arranging visits, events, and meetings, as well as taking a leading role in project management activities.
  • These activities included developing program documents, identifying the procurement process for selecting implementing partners, drafting contracts and associated extensions or amendments, monitoring financial performance, identifying risks, reviewing progress reports and log frames, analyzing budgets, and keeping records of milestones/results and financial management.
  • Acting as the monitoring lead for the Bilateral Programme. This entailed conducting field visits, participating in events, analyzing and identifying any issues or risks, and promptly informing relevant stakeholders (SRO, Project Implementer, and colleagues in London) through comprehensive analysis reports.
  • Developing and enforcing recommendations from analysis reports to strengthen the implementation of the Bilateral Programme.
  • Serving as the information management lead for all CSSF Programmes. I ensured that information was regularly updated and stored according to audit requirements in shared drives, SharePoint, and easy-to-access files.
  • Taking on the logistical lead for Strategic and Operational board meetings, ensuring all necessary arrangements were made for their successful execution.
  • Assisting with administrative and logistical tasks for annual reviews of Programmes.
