Shadowed under the Head of Equity Sales, Mr. Abbas Jehengir. There was a team of 6 stock dealers that worked mainly with institutional and high net worth clients. An aspect of a research role to this internship where I was asked for up to date trendy stock picks which focused on markets such as agriculture, textiles and automotive, which are the leading industries in Pakistan. Being allowed to listen in on public offering meetings for newly listed companies was also absolutely vital to see the steps of company formation and the negotiations between the brokerage and newly listed stocks.
