My research provides a comprehensive analysis of the Organization of Islamic Countries Ombudsman Associations (OICOA) and its critical role in fostering transparency, accountability, and good governance in OIC member states. It traces the evolution of the ombudsman institution in Pakistan and India, examining the effectiveness of these institutions and the challenges they face, such as political influence and infrastructure limitations. The study emphasizes the significance of OICOA membership in strengthening ombudsman institutions and promoting cooperation among member nations. It also provides recommendations for enhancing the impact of ombudsman institutions across the Islamic world, focusing on capacity building and collaboration to uphold human rights and social justice.
