Thesis Statement: Determinants of Dividend Payout: Evidence from Non-Financial Sector of Pakistan
- This study examined the determinants of dividend payout in Pakistan's non-financial sector. Using panel data from 80 consistently dividend-paying firms across 13 sectors (2010–2015), the research explored how factors like growth, profitability, liquidity, solvency, investment opportunities, cash flow volatility, life cycle stage, and firm size affect dividend decisions. Regression analysis showed that cash flow volatility and life cycle stage are positively associated with dividend payout, while other variables have a negative relationship. The data met all regression assumptions, supporting the reliability of results.
