Sadaf Zafarullah

I have been working as surgical resident in Mayo Hospital since October 2020. During training I have performed duties in Emergency department, OPD and IPD. During residency training I have been performing ward rounds twice daily and have discussed patient care plans with my consultants and review diagnostic studies. I have ordered relevant diagnostic tests and analyzed diagnostic images to further investigate patient conditions.

I am also involved in patient education and counseling, covering health status, test results, disease processes and discharge planning.

I have assisted in multiple surgical procedures carried out in Emergency and on Elective list. During this period I have reviewed complex cases alongside colleagues during peer consultations to develop consensus on appropriate courses of action for challenging scenarios.

• After completing my 1 year internship after graduation, I have worked as Surgical Assistant with a general surgeon for 1 year ( December 2018- January 2020). During this period I monitored patient progress and adjusted treatments accordingly.I assisted senior physicians and surgeons during assessments, examinations and surgical interventions. I have assisted in different surgical procedures ranging from Lap.Cholecystectomies to Whipple's procedure.
