• Finalized and secured NEPRA approval for the Grid Code (2022) and IGCEP 2022–2031.

• Led AEDB as the Federal Government’s sole agency for renewable energy development, overseeing national efforts to scale up clean, affordable, and sustainablenergy solutions.
• Took charge during a critical reform phase, driving strategic initiatives to align with national targets of achieving 20% renewable energy by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
• Supervised implementation of renewable energy projects across Pakistan, including wind, solar, bagasse, and hybrid technologies. Finalized the Alternative & Renewable Energy Policy 2019, establishing a clear framework for sector growth.

• Chaired feasibility development for a Secure Metering System (SMS) for coincidental Maximum Demand Indicator (MDI) calculation Established a state-of-the-art NTDC Training Center at New Kot Lakhpat, Lahore

• Led IESCO—Pakistan’s top-ranked electric distribution company with over US$1 billion in annual turnover and a consumer base of 2.5 million, served through 108 grid stations. Under NEPRA’s latest performance evaluation, IESCO ranked #1 among all 11 distribution companies nationwide.
• Introduced and implemented key innovation and modernization programs to enhance operational efficiency, customer service, and sustainability.

Served as Focal Person for Pakistan’s first utility-scale solar power initiative, the 1000 MW Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park (Phase I: 100 MW, Phase II: 300 MW, Phase III: 600 MW), overseeing construction, power evacuation, and inter-agency coordination with Zonergy, AEDB, NTDC, MEPCO, Government of Punjab, and Ministry of Water & Power.

• Led technical bid evaluations and supervised international consultants 8p2 (Germany) and ECSP (Pakistan).
• Conducted technical due diligence of EPC contractors CHINT and TBEA in China, focusing on module/inverter manufacturing and PR (Performance Ratio) analysis.
• Participated in EPC contract negotiations and technical supervision with ILF (Germany).
• Provided technical oversight for Generation License and Tariff Petition approvals with NEPRA.
• Established an in-house R&D Directorate post-training in PV Syst (Switzerland).
• Trained staff in technical and financial feasibility analysis for grid-connected and off-grid PV systems.
• Set up PV module testing laboratories for quality assurance. Assisted in finalizing the Energy Purchase Agreement (EPA) with key stakeholders.

• Led one of Pakistan’s largest electricity distribution companies, serving over 5 million consumers through 133 grid stations and a network exceeding 80,000 km of transmission and distribution lines (132kV, 11kV, 400/230V).
• Delivered trans-formative improvements in performance, financial stability, and customer service.

• Managed prototype approvals for critical power infrastructure components including energy meters, PC poles, steel structures, LT & HT cables, CTs, PTs, 11 kV switchgear, termination kits, and conductors.
• Authored and issued key technical specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance system reliability and standardization

Managed metering operations for a distribution company serving 2.4

million consumers across four circles (Domestic, Commercial, Industrial).

• Led and promoted R&D initiatives addressing critical power sector challenges, including power quality, renewable technologies, FACTS applications, and the impact of CFL induction.
• Supervised Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD research projects, facilitating high-quality academic work with publications in national and international journals.
