Rafique Ahmed Buller

Rafique Ahmed Buller works across traditional boundaries in Information Technology, with a passion for listening and teaching and a focus on helping those who use technology in an organization work more productively and efficiently. His experience spans over nineteen years in all facets of Information Technology, across technical, administrative and operational environments. He is a technical manager, with hands-on expertise in infrastructure: computer servers, network technologies, data management, and the disciplines of creating facilities that power reliable and scalable applications. He has managed teams of systems engineers, database associates, network engineers, and end-user support specialists. Currently, Mr. Rafique Ahmed is associated with Benazir Income Support Programme, Ministry of Finance Government of Pakistan, in capacity of Deputy Director (Operations) Sindh Region with additional assignment of Divisional Director Shaheed Benazirabad Division. He had been associated with NADRA, Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan in capacity of Zonal Head. In addition to managing capable team of more than 150 professionals (Officers / officials), he also look after the different projects running in the jurisdiction area / geographical area of responsibility, and significantly increased the capacity of the delivering quality services at customer level. Prior to his position at Basis, Mr. Rafique Ahmed Buller worked for MovenPick, (International Chain) Hotel & Resort @ Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as IT Manager, Earlier, he managed Information Technology operations for The IBRAT Group of Publications, the largest circulated group of newspapers, Sindh Pakistan as IT Director. Mr. Buller is a lifelong learner, gaining successive proficiencies in Project Management, client-server environments, and Internet and cloud-based IT. His interest in science formed the initial core of his undergraduate education, but his focus on the human elements in business and the underlying connections with technology led him to broaden the scope of his studies, culminating in an undergraduate degree in Computer Technology from University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan, as well Masters degree in Computer Technology from the same University. Recently he has been awarded MS (Information Technology) Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah. He maintains a vital interest in new technologies, and is active in the technology community.
