Supervise and monitor the control room and field operator activities in order to ensure continued operation of the GTG/HRSG plant in a safe and reliable manner and production of uninterrupted supply of electric power.

§ Participate in the plant start up, normal operation shut down to facilitate maintenance works, includes ensuring safety, proper isolation, testing, etc. to ascertain the problem has been resolved, normalizing the unit and bringing it back on line. Liaise with LDC regarding load/production requirements.

§ Respond to emergency situations such as tripping, run back of unit, etc. trouble shoots problem and take appropriate corrective steps to normalize the unit. Report to Shift Charge

§ Participate in restoration of the plant after Black-Out. With full own responsibility

§ Review log book from previous shift to determine condition/status of each unit. Follow up on existing problems and progress corrective steps throughout the shift to reach resolution of problem.

§ Raise notification – via SAP – to maintenance on problems that occur during the shift and communicate directly with Maintenance if the problem is considered priority i.e. affects power load generation to take urgent action.

§ Issue Permit to Work and Safety Tags to carry out the required maintenance work – includes isolation of problem areas and perform electrical switching as may be needed.

§ Fully responsible to make new Electrical switching procedure in short time. High Tension Side or Low-Tension Side

§ Emergency start up procedure of Gtg unit or Hrsg unit (Heat Recovery steam Generator)

§ Review Control Room and Field Operators log sheets to determine if they were completed accurately and whether or not there are deviations from standard parameters.

§ Tour plant to determine general status of the equipment and overall readiness of the plant and identify safety infractions, if any, take appropriate action and to report to supervisor accordingly.

§ Participate in daily meetings with Operation, Maintenance and Engineering to discuss maintenance issues, status of plant and plan of action and steps to be taken.

§ Entering all required data in GTG Daily statistical report after midnight then make sure that report is complete in correct manner and aligned with ECRA definition.

§ Supervise and participate in weekly and monthly routine tests and check-ups, such as testing the Black Start Diesel Generator, Hydrogen Plant Changing-Over of auxiliaries, electrical switchgear, etc.

§ Check lab report hourly and start of the shift for deaerators. boilers. Cooling water system and prepared the chemical for adjust the chemical parameters.

§ Start up and shut down HRSG Units also change over the Hrsg as per requirements

§ Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

§ Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

§ implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.

§ Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

§ Maintenance and update the management budget, equipment and materials

§ Conduct regular service and systems audit

§ Guide and upgrade staff technical and management competency

§ Prepare site standard operating procedures (SOPs)

§ Generate, collate and submission of monthly reports
