As per GIZ NMA policy and the respective section of “National Staff Representation” guidelines, the following extract is the policy stance of GIZ. In each partner country, staff representatives are available to represent the interests of national staff. These are elected at regular intervals. Country Directors encourage the establishment of staff representative bodies and provide organizational
support. When reaching collective agreements that affect employee interests (e.g. contracts, remuneration conditions, office rules), the views of the representatives are sought. Staff
can call in the representatives to help resolve disputes. There shall be established a committee in Pakistan, which shall be known as the (NSRC) of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

  • Preside over all meetings and oversee all affairs of the Committee.
  • Take necessary action to follow up recommendations of the
    NSRC. Declare the opening and closing of each meeting,
  • Facilitate its discussions and announce decisions. S/he shall
    rule on points of order.
  • Represent the NSRC at various forums or nominate some
    appropriate member or deputy member and/or NMA as the
    case may be.
