As Deputy Manager IT at PITC I had the opportunity to lead various projects related to electricity distribution. My team and I worked on several initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of electricity distribution systems. Here are some of the key projects that I managed:
• Outage Prediction Model (OPM)
Led the team that developed the OPM. Oversaw the implementation of historical data analysis techniques to predict future outages. Ensured that the OPM provided actionable insights for electricity distribution companies to proactively address potential issues and minimize downtime for customers.
• Real-Time Data Processing Engine (RTDPE)
Managed the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the RTDPE. Oversaw the development of PL/SQL procedures to process data in real-time from smart meters or other devices. Ensured that the RTDPE provided accurate and timely analysis of electricity distribution patterns.
• Reporting System:
Managed the team that developed the Reporting System. Ensured that the system generated ondemand reports for the Ministry of Energy on electricity consumption, billing, revenue, and customer complaints. Ensured that the reports were generated using Crystal Reports and PL/SQL programming, and that they provided valuable insights for decision-making.
• Smart Meter Analytics (SMA)
Headed the team that worked on SMA. Oversaw the analysis of usage patterns and identification of areas where customers could reduce their energy consumption. Ensured that the SMA project delivered actionable insights for electricity distribution companies to improve energy efficiency.
• Web-Based Data Analytics Platform (WEDAP)
Led the team that developed the WEDAP. Oversaw the implementation of PL/SQL procedures to retrieve data from an Oracle database. Ensured that the WEDAP provided meaningful charts, graphs, and data visualizations to help electricity distribution companies better understand their data.
