As Head of Department, I led M/s Expert Engineers & Contractors in managing multiple electrical, civil, and telecom projects nationwide, primarily for leading telecom clients including Mobilink, Telenor, and Zong.

Project Leadership: Directed turnkey electrical and solar system projects end-to-end—covering bidding, procurement, budgeting, execution, daily reporting, and financial closures.

Power Projects: Delivered projects with global OEMs including Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, and Nokia for Zong (Cm-Pak) and Telenor networks. Managed HT/LT electrical systems including transformers, LT panels, rectifiers, AVR, generators, and internal/external electrification.

Solar & Renewable Energy: Designed and executed solar PV systems ensuring compliance with safety standards, shading analysis, rooftop positioning, and integration with backup batteries, inverters, and AC/DC distribution networks.

Technical Coordination: Collaborated with designers and engineering teams to revise shop drawings, develop as-built drawings, and ensure all electrical works adhered to codes, specifications, and client requirements.

Client & Vendor Management: Served as primary liaison with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring transparent material procurement, inventory control, and strict budget adherence.

• Worked on major projects including Saudi Aramco Girls and Boys Schools in Al-Hassa, Al-Khereiji Commercial Complex in Dammam, Al-Yaum Press Building in Al-Khobar, and Tamimi Supermarket in Dammam, ensuring strict compliance with ARAMCO standards and industry regulations.
• Ensured all project executions adhered to ARAMCO codes, drawings, quality plans, and safety procedures.
• Monitored contractor quality systems and approved designs, method statements, and work procedures to maintain high-quality execution.
• Performed detailed inspections and testing of telecom fiber and copper cable networks, including fusion splicing and OTDR/OLTS testing.
• Supervised installation and inspection of explosion-proof and weatherproof communication and instrumentation devices, ensuring material compliance and safety standards.
• Calibrated and installed field instruments following P&ID and hook-up drawings; tested SCADA, DCS, PLC systems, and field devices.
• Evaluated advanced hydrocarbon pipeline monitoring systems such as Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Permanent Downhole Monitoring System (PDMS).
• Reviewed and approved contractor works including cable installation, megger testing, and conduit system deployment.
• Managed testing and installation of power distribution systems including transformers, motor control centers, and area lighting.
• Ensured effective grounding and cathodic protection of pipelines, vessels, and metallic plant structures.

• Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

Served in the Operations Department of Engineering at Mobilink, gaining practical experience in supervising and maintaining telecom infrastructure. Responsibilities included overseeing BTS sites, ensuring the proper functioning of microwave indoor and outdoor units, managing power supply systems such as generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and battery backup systems, as well as maintaining site earthing and grounding. Additionally, monitored tower conditions and coordinated routine maintenance to ensure optimal network performance and reliability. This role enhanced technical skills in site supervision, troubleshooting, battery backup management, and preventive maintenance within the telecom sector.
