- Development officer is part of RD&I team at AkzoNobel and my key responsibilities are:
- To work on New Product Development/Innovation, while maintaining close liaisoning with regional R&D for implementation & validation of formulations ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- To evaluate new raw materials to develop alternative sources & to create possible opportunity for value engineering
- To perform the benchmarking of products with competition & conduct BBTs (Best by Test) for product validation
- To closely liaise with plant & marketing teams in for execution of New Product Development & VE projects within stipulated time. Routing the NPD & VE projects through scale up & regional gate process (IGR)
- Complaints handling for complete Decorative section (WB + SB + Color) & to provide customer services along with regional reporting
- To visit customer sites for providing adequate solutions for complaints resolutions
- To conduct RCAs of complaints with cross functional teams
- To fully supervise & route the rework process of SLOB/transit damage/lift back material
- Troubleshoot & rectify the plant batches
- To manage recipes in SAP & Product Vision software
- To maintain PSQCA (Pakistan Standard & Quality Control Authority) certifications & to facilitate mandatory audits
- Managing the contractual staff & PR/PO process of Decorative section
- Managing the CSR (Chemical Substance Register)
