Senior Process Operator

Desulphurisation section

  • Sulphur is removed from Natural gas in sulphur adsorber containing ZNO catalyst after draining condensate via knock out drums and letdown station.

Steam Methane Reformer (SMR)

  • Induced Draft Furnace containing 384 Burners and 168 Tubes in 02 Chambers Natural gas is reformed in CO, CO2 and H2 in the presence of Nickel based catalyst

Secondary Reformer (Auto Thermal Reformer)

  • Purpose is to provide N2 for Ammonia synthesis. Catalyst Nickel based,Combustion source Air from compressor.

Shift Conversion

  • Medium Temperature Shift Converter (MTSC) & Low Temperature Shift Converter (LTSC) convert CO in CO2 in the presence of Copper Oxide catalyst.

Air Compressor:

  • (4 Stages centrifugal compressor with horizontal split casings) Turbine driven (HS steam driven with combination of induction and condensing turbine) having capacity of 35, 000 NMC/hr and absorbed power of turbine is 8.4 MW.
  • Take suction from 1 kg/cm2 to 37 kg/cm2 pressure.

Synthesis Gas Compressor

  • 4 Stages centrifugal compressor with vertical split casings Turbine driven (KS steam driven with combination of extraction and condensing turbine) having capacity of 150,000 &535,000 nmc/hr and absorbed power of turbine is 13.9 MW.
  • Take suction from 26kg/cm2 to152kg/cm2 pressure .

Ammonia Compressor

  • (2 Stages centrifugal compressor with horizontal split casings) Turbine driven (HS steam driven with combination of condensing turbine)having capacity of 10,000 NMC/hr and absorbed power of turbine is 3.3MW

Ammonia Synthesis & Refrigeration Unit

  • This section includes RADIAL FLOW AMMONIA CONVERTER S-300 Design pressure 158 kg/cm2 . Ammonia Production 1,120 MTPD. From Synthesis loop 23,000 NMC/hr gas is purged. It also includes Refrigeration Loop Chiller

Ammonia Recovery Unit

  • This unit includes separation of ammonia from purge gas. Design pressure 94kg/cm2. It includes two Absorbers & one Distillation Column, Recovers Ammonia 30MTPD.

Hydrogen Recovery Unit (Cryogenic Process)

  • This unit is designed by LINDE Germany. It recovers 14,000 NMC/hr pure Hydrogen by the application of Cryogenic Process. This unit is design at 94kg/cm2 pressure & -187 C operating Pressure and temperature.

STEAM GENERATION SECTION

  • 1. Macchi vertical hanging water tube type, gas fired boiler with BMS of HIMA H-51q
  • 2. De-Aeration Unit, converts 380m3/hr Dimineralized water into boiler feed water through physical and chemical de-aeration process.
  • 3. High pressure boiler feed water multistage centrifugal pumps motor & turbine driven.2.5kg/cm2 to 170kg/cm2.
  • 4. Demineralized water storage and distribution.
  • 5. Boiler forced draft fan with dual driver motor & turbine.
  • 6. Hydraulic operated steam letdown/ de-super heating stations
  • DCS/ESD System
  • Under training as Panel operator in Petrochemical plant (YOKOGAWA CENTUM VP)

  • Worked with process engineering at ammonia reactor basket, cartridge and catalyst replacement under IDLH condions with CR Asia/CASALE vendor during FFC Plant-3 TA-2020
  • Worked at Catalyst Replacement job of a balanced draft Reformer at National Refinery Limited,Karachi. Job was awarded to OLIVE-TS (A sister company of FFC ) by NRL. Mar-2022.
  • Process gas pre heater E-4201 emergency handling.
  • I have performed duty of ISO & IMS auditor for internal/external audits of my Organization.
