Company Overview: the largest Gas Distribution & Transmission company of the country
I have had the honor to successfully head HR at SNGPL, the largest Gas Distribution & Transmission company of the country for years.
First as Chief Officer (HR) and later as General Manager (HR), managed to establish and maintain the required headcount by running recruitment drives where each drive on average fetched well over 30K applications.
The department under my leadership was responsible for handling all the postings, transfers and re-designations.
It planned and controlled manning levels across the company and coordinated Training Needs for all the employees.
There would be run a Performance Management Cycle every year for almost 10K employees.
A yearly activity very efficiently handled was of running Promotion Cycles for hundreds of employees.
We designed and implemented a Succession Plan, pioneered Organizational Development and ensured implementation of Human Resource Information System.
All these developments were not only initiated but also periodically reviewed to make them congruent with the best practices.
Every two years the Compensation and Benefits Management System was reviewed to keep it in line with the market rates.
The organization has given me an all-round and invaluable opportunity to head some other key departments since my promotion as General Manager which include Business Development. Stores, Billing, Compliance and IT Operations adding versatility, diversity and maturity to my portfolio to make it of a C-suite Executive in the truest essence of the word.
