Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Daily Operations Oversight: - Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the general and emergency departments. - Serve as a clinical advisor to medical staff, offering guidance and support as needed.

Medical Record Keeping and Discharge Planning - Maintain accurate records and discharge letters for admitted patients, documenting their medical history and treatment outcomes. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive discharge plans for patients.

5. Clinical Service Planning and Implementation: -Assist in planning, implementing, and directing clinical services under the supervision of consultants. - Contribute insights and recommendations for improving patient care delivery and outcomes.

6. Procedural Assistance: - Assist in various medical procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, and pleural tap, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

7. On-Call Duties: - Participate in weekly on-call rotations for medical emergencies, providing immediate medical assistance as required.

8. Consultant Rounds and Collaboration: -Conduct weekly rounds with consultants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) based on patient load.

Working as a Health Officer/Senior House Officer at Punjab Health Facilities and Management Company, I ensured the delivery of quality healthcare services to the community. Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Primary Healthcare Management:

-Maintain an organized system for primary-level curative care and preventive health measures for the population.

-Implement strategies to prevent diseases and promote overall health within the community.

2. Clinical Assessment and Treatment: -Assess, diagnose, and manage patients at the Outpatient Department (OPD) following standard protocols.

- Ensure rational prescription practices and adequate management.

3. BHU Affairs Management: -Oversee day-to-day affairs of the Basic Health Unit (BHU) in coordination with health specialists, addressing operational matters effectively.

-Manage staff duty roster, and attendance and coordinate public holidays to ensure adequate staffing levels.

4. Pharmaceutical Inventory and Training Programs:

-Ensure timely requisition of pharmaceutical items and manage stock-out issues every month.

-Implement staff training programs such as polio training, EPI vaccination, antenatal care, and measles and rubella training as part of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

5. Managing Obstetrics and Gynecology OPD and Family Health Clinic:

- Attend to outpatients presenting with various symptoms like itching, postpartum blues, wound infection, gastritis, and antenatal checkups.

- Provide emergency care for patients with suture wounds, abscesses, exacerbating asthma, hypoglycemia, and requiring urgent cardiac critical care.

- Supervise Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) vaccination and COVID vaccination at the center, managing Tehsil-level records of COVID-19 vaccine entries.

-Manage and counsel patients regarding contraception and family planning. Also referring the cases of infertility to specialized care.

6. Quality Assurance and Infection Control: - Initiating quality assurance initiatives within BHU, including patient feedback forms, satisfaction surveys, and incident reporting. -Monitor infection control measures regularly to maintain standards of clinical care.

7. Management Committee Meetings and Liaison:

- Arrange regular Management Committee Meetings to discuss issues, take immediate action, and ensure proper documentation of meeting minutes.

- Liaise with other stakeholders and referral hospitals to facilitate patient referrals and coordinate healthcare services effectively.
