With a master’s degree in Anthropology and over 17 years of diverse experience in managerial, strategic, programmatic, and leadership capacities across national organizations and UN agencies including WFP, FAO, and UN Habitat, I currently serve as the Programme Policy Officer (NOC) for the World Food Programme in Peshawar, KP. In this role, I oversee emergency relief, recovery, and resilience efforts. Previously, I held various positions within the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, ranging from Programme Policy to Food Security Cluster Coordinator. Before that, I served as an Area Programme Coordinator for UN-HABITAT, managing portfolios in KP and FATA. Throughout my career, I have actively contributed to complex emergencies such as earthquakes, floods, and human-induced crises, focusing on thematic areas including food security, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, housing/shelter, WASH, and non-formal education. I have successfully managed over 20 projects of significant value across Pakistan, demonstrating skills in emergency response, community mobilization, conflict resolution, coordination, team building, and information management. Moreover, my expertise spans humanitarian relief, crisis management, resource mobilization, community involvement, conflict resolution, reconstruction, emergency response, and project management. I excel in overseeing international development projects throughout their lifecycle, encompassing planning, monitoring, evaluation, and budgeting.
