I studied at the Sacred Heart Convent school, and was an excellent student with an almost perfect yearly academic record, as well as having a reputation for being exceptional at public speaking, presenting, writing, and performance. Well, these accolades continued to be affiliated with my identity all through college and university.
People, family members, class-fellows, friends and acquaintances would approach me to write for them: from lyrics to research papers, to scripts for social work documentaries and V.O.'s, etc.
I also interned at a couple of advertising agencies, and was immediately put to work, drafting client presentations, helping with storyboards, etc.
I have a vast and rich background as a writer, whether it was being a published academic, poetess, or doing journalistic, research-based writing for serious private projects, as well as for magazines and newspapers; I have in the recent past, gained more experience in branding and promotional texts, including copywriting and press-writing.
I have a self-published English poetry book to my credit, which was also placed at a couple of local arts' libraries; it is titled 'Shades of Grey' (2008). I have another, bilingual poetry book manuscript ready, waiting for a publisher.
I won an all-Pakistan essay contest back in 2009, and the local media agency, Jang Group, awarded me an all-sponsored, 5-star package to attend the prestigious, week-long Young Leaders' Conference at Karachi Sheraton.
