Work History

Independent Researcher

University of Agriculture Faisalabad
09.2022 - 11.2023
  • Worked on an epidemiological model with time-dependent transmission rates and considered human-human and environment-human routes due to poor sanitation facilities for wild poliovirus transmission in Pakistan from 2017-2022
  • Data was collected through literature search and Public Health reports
  • Spatio-temporal analysis was done using QGIS and model calibrations were performed using RStudio
  • Achieved enhanced model accuracy (RMSE: 0.05 vs
  • 0.44) when validated against the constant transmission rate assumption
  • Calculated the Basic Reproduction Number (R0 = 1.61) using the next-generation matrix method, predicting the potential for future outbreaks
  • Simulations emphasized the continued endemic transmission; suggested the interventions of targeted vaccination campaigns through the asymptomatic population movement surveillance reducing the incidence by 85% from 2023-2025 and with improved WASH facilities can lead to eradication within five years
  • Highlighted the need to empower the community workers along with strict policy implementations

Retrospective Surveillance of Malaria in Tertiary Care Hospitals of District Faisalabad

  • Collaborated in data collection on Malaria cases in Faisalabad from 2019-2023
  • Contributed to data analysis and visualization using SPSS
  • Identified gender disparities in malaria diagnosis and treatment, guiding more equitable healthcare practices in Faisalabad
