1. Performance Optimization: The project was aimed to eliminate defective locations and areas, achieving a vacuum-tight system to maintain the designed rated vacuum and consequently to achieve designed turbine heat rate.
2. Boiler debugging and testing: Worked with a team for the trial operation of Boiler aimed to check safety, quality, and performance of the unit by carrying out heat rate test.
3. Energy Efficiency Improvements: Recommended to upgrade CEP running system by installing VFD system, recommended installation of energy-saving lamps and conducted energy audit of resident building and identified areas for improvement.
4. Comparative study of sub-critical and super-critical power plant: This research work was collaborated with MS student of UET Lahore for the comparative study of sub and super-critical power plants aiming to improve efficiency and optimizing the operating conditions for both technologies.
5. Process Improvement: During planned shutdown of the unit, it was recommended to install backwash pipe on supply and return path of cooling water to achieve designed suction by the vacuum pumps.
