2. Led International Transportation and Customs Network of the Two Water Pipeline projects of 37KM for a 2x330MW Coal-based Power plant with a value of US$ 25M (2020-21)

3. Managed Clearing Agent, 3rd party Agreement, LCs, Bank Contract, Shipping & Clearance for an EMS-Effluent Management System project (Value US$ 15M) for 2x330MW Thar Energy & ThalNova

4. Led Project Logistics for (MRO/O&M spares & components) for HUBCO main Power Plant 1292MW & Narowal Energy 225MW at the lowest acquisition cost of around ±US$ 30M annually (2017-20)

5. Steered Inventory Management for the project of Predictivity Enhancements and Performance Improvements (PEPI) with the value ±US$ 25M HUBCO 1292MW 2018-19

Accomplishments:

1. Implemented cost-effective strategies in Procurement, Sourcing, Purchasing, Customs Duties/Taxes, Freight, and Transportation by saving more than US$ 300 million

2. Supervised Critical Project Imports-Exports and Logistics operation with a value of US$ 200 million from POL to POD and ultimately to the project site with NO exception report

3. Successfully managed mega SCM operation of US$ 600M (300 TEU per month from various parts of the world) for 1X 660MW Coal Based Power Plant at Coal Mining Fields Thar

Reporting Line: Senior Manager

Project Logistics Operation : USD 350M annually

Accomplishments

1. Had full participation in logistics strategic planning, logistics budget and cash flow forecasting

2. Managed and monitored all logistical aspects of the projects - for (Supply, MISC, Turnkey projects and Global Master Agreements)

3. Led critical logistics decisions, including logistics budget assessment (where applicable), logistics plan preparation, logistics plan, and development

4. Planned site set-up to move trailers, containers, labour, plant, and materials around the site efficiently (i.e. site accommodation, cranes, services, material delivery, waste management strategy, etc.)

5. Planned internal and external logistics routes through the project phases focused on the separation of vehicles, machinery, and people whilst taking into consideration interfaces with future planned works

6. Supported Procurement in defining the best delivery terms with vendors and, where required

7. Distributed Shipping Instructions through the Project organization and Shipping & Customs Network

8. Supported Materials Management and Project Expediting Coordinators in defining and preparing Shipping & Customs documents

9. Ensured guarantee of a proper flow of information and adequate tracking of Project transportation, updated Material Status Report or any other document required to monitor the status of the various shipments.

10. Coordinated Project transport & customs activities through the Shipping, Freight Fowarders and Customs Officers assigned to the Project in direct liaison, where required, with Shipping & Customs Network

11. Where applicable, supported by the Procurement Manager and Project contract management, liaison with internal/external stakeholders to coordinate the handover, customs formalities and further transportation of Company Provided Items to the ultimate project site base according to Main Contract provisions.

My role was to ensure that all packages and products were delivered securely and on time. Through my coordination with various carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokerage, and internal departments, I ensured that everything was properly packaged, labelled, and shipped out promptly. In addition, I confidently monitored shipment tracking and effectively addressed any issues that may arise, such as delays or damages. Despite the challenges that came with my role, I found it rewarding to know that I am a crucial part of ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and satisfactorily.
