Being a pharmacy supervisor, I am assigned to:

• Manage the monthly roster of the department.
• Make policies for the department under the supervision of the manager.
• Maintaining data on all narcotic consumption.
• Managing the inventory and internal audits.
• Crash carts and floor stock monitoring.
• Patient counseling.
• Team management.
• Managing different data related to the department.
• Training of new staff.

Working as the Principal Pharmacist, I was assigned to work at Central Pharmacy, Satellite Inpatient Pharmacies, and Oncology Pharmacy, with main job responsibilities including:

• Appropriate review of prescriptions before dispensing and handling of drugs.
• Inventory management, processing, and dispensing of drugs to the patients.
• Drug information and counseling of the patients, along with taking part in CE sessions.
• Nursing education and handling various queries about drugs.
• Maintain and control the dispensing of non-narcotic controlled drugs and narcotics.
• Monthly maintenance of floor stocks at patient care areas and outpatient clinics.
• Compounding and dispensing of sterile and non-sterile preparations, as per USP standards, and preparation with handling of total parenteral nutrition.
• Reviewing the chemo protocols, preparing, dispensing, and handling of all chemo drugs.
• Supervision of all staff working in the chemo area and coordination with consultants on chemo-related matters.
• Also act as a preceptor of central inpatient pharmacy and oncology pharmacy, supervising residents and internees.
