Tasks included aiding people facing court proceedings without legal representation. Helped clients with form-filling including C100 and C79, provided clarity in relation to legal procedures, especially regarding non-molestation orders and legal protocols before applying for child arrangement orders. Entrusted with the task of determining whether client’s case could be referred to a partner pro bono organisation or solicitor.

• Trained as a CMA Level-1 debt adviser and provided debt-related advice in addition to dealing with cases related to welfare benefits and housing benefits

• Provided free legal advice to members of public on issues related to housing, consumer law, wills and probate, consumer law and contract law
• Role involved researching client’s legal issue, interviewing them, and providing advice under the supervision of a senior solicitor

• Organised activities on campus such as the rain bucket challenge and Christmas Market to help raise funds for costly social enterprise projects such as converting non-biodegradable matter into clothing and recycling wasted food
• Worked in liaison with brands such as Amazon and Asda, to secure sponsorship for these activities, and gave presentations to illustrate the business model and feasibility of our initiatives

• Helped to raise more than £100’000 for university as part of a small team, through convincing alumni to make donations towards university causes they deem worthy
• Collected and uploaded sensitive alumni data and transaction records onto university IT system responsibly and with care
