Cargo Transfer Post-Transfer Procedures

• Pre-Transfer Checks: Check that all valves, pumps, and meters are functioning correctly. Verify that the cargo tanks are properly isolated.
• Start Transfer: Begin the cargo transfer process by pumping the cargo from the ship’s tanks to the shore-based storage tanks or facilities. Monitor the flow rates and pressures to ensure smooth operation.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor the cargo transfer process to detect any issues such as leaks, overflows, or equipment malfunctions. Keep detailed records of the transfer process.
• Conduct pre-loading safety inspection of ship’s manifold and ullaging /Sounding & equipment etc.
• Complete Transfer: Once the cargo has been fully unloaded, stop the transfer pumps and disconnect the hoses or pipelines.
• Tank Inspection: Inspect the cargo tanks for any residues or issues. Clean the tanks if necessary, following proper procedures to prevent contamination of future cargoes.
• Documentation and Reporting: Complete all necessary documentation, including transfer records, inspection reports, and any required regulatory paperwork. Report any incidents or irregularities that occurred during the unloading process.
