A leading glass manufacture FMCG company in Pakistan involved in manufacturing of tableware, beverages, food, & pharmaceuticals glass products and plastic shells, listed on 2 stock exchanges of Pakistan and have 3 geographically spread units.

I was the head of finance and accounts department of all 3 units of the Company and managed a team of approx. 20 people. My responsibilities included:

• Budget preparation, financial forecasts, cash flow projection and variance analysis
• Monthly and quarterly reporting to Chairman, CEO and Board of Directors
• Review and established processed for stores, warehouse, finance etc. to identify improvement opportunities in controls and to enhance process efficiencies.
• Evaluation of key performance indicators
• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) and periodic statutory accounts as per IFRS
• Liaison with external auditors to ensure timely completion of external audits
• Fixed assets management
• Dealing with banks, government organizations and departments
• Managing imports, LCs and clearing of imported items
• Managing ERP and coordinating with ERP provider for development
• Acting as Company Secretory at Board meetings in absence of the Company Secretory

During the period of more than 5 years with EY, I was involved in various assignments in Assurance and Advisory Services. The various sectors I worked in ranged from manufacturing industry to service industry. The assignments include full scope external audits, half yearly review, risk based internal audits, business processes evaluations/ GAP analysis, fraud investigation, development of costing and management reporting system, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), and special assignments.

• Executed multiple external audit assignments for initial planning stage to finalization.
• Extensive experience of 4+ years in Internal Audits and Gap Analysis in light of COSO framework.
