Responsibilities include Patient Care in Both Indoor and Out Door.

Attend Operating Room Twice Weekly , Performing and Assisting Surgeries related to Trauma,Joint Reconstruction and Spine.

• Carrying out preoperative assessments, diagnose spinal pathologies (degenerative, trauma, deformity), and develop management plans—both surgical and non-surgical.
• Participation in outpatient and spine clinic sessions.
• As co-first assistants, fellows are hands-on in advanced procedures such as:
  Degenerative and trauma surgery
  Deformity corrections (e.g., scoliosis)
  Minimally-invasive approaches: TLIF, PLIF, endoscopic and microscopic discectomies, spinal decompressions, ACDF.
• Training also covers complex instrumentation—fusion, pedicle screws, navigation, robotics.

PGY‑1

• Surgical boot camp; core rotations in ortho trauma, casting, and emergency procedures.
• Learn peri‑operative care, fracture reductions, and dislocations.
• Support ward rounds, patient prep, and participate in morning meetings.

PGY‑2 & PGY‑3

• Rotate through major subspecialties: trauma, pediatrics, spine, sports/arthroscopy, joints, upper/lower extremity.
• On-call duties, emergency decision-making, external/internal fixations, dislocation reductions.
• Present in academic sessions; assist with operations in joint, trauma, spine, arthroscopy.

PGY‑4 Batch‑In‑Charge

• Manage batch coordination and oversee junior residents.
• Lead emergency surgeries (fixations, dislocations); prepare OT lists and handle admissions.
• Present mornings; coordinate with consultants; assist in joint replacement, arthroscopies, trauma, spine (degenerative/deformity).

PGY‑5 – Registrar / Chief Resident

• Oversee clinical and academic operations: admissions, OT planning, consultant coordination.
• Full surgical autonomy in emergencies and elective cases across all domains.
• Lead morning meetings, seminars, journal clubs; decision-making in critical scenarios.

Additional Rotation

• 6‑Month Pediatric Orthopaedics: Focus on pediatric trauma, casting, deformity correction, clubfoot, and Hip Surgries.
