• Medicine : August 2022 to Nov 2022.

• A three month rotation in General Medicine in Capital Hospital CDA, during which i learnt basic medicine, General OPD, ward management, counselling, co ordination, interdisciplinary approach, team management, follow up. & carrying on orders, In patient management, fluid balancing & charting, CPR & AED, intrepretation of different tests like ECG, Echo, Stress Test, Labs, CT Scans etc.

• Had a firm grip on history taking, examination, diagnosis, management, & prognosis of the patients.

• Radiology : Nov 2022 to Feb 2023.

I joined radiology since i always found in hard to intrepret radiological results like CT scans, X-Rays, MRIs, Ultrasounds & barium study. Working in radiology department gave me an immense grip on intrepretation, evaluation, significance & outcome of basic radiological tests. Moreover learning how to do ultrasound was an add on benefit.

• General Surgery : Feb 2023 - May 2023.

• Ordered and executed diagnostic tests and analyzed diagnostic images to further investigate patient conditions.
• Performed rounds twice daily to discuss patient care plans, review diagnostic studies, communicate with patients and discuss medication lists.
• Assessed patient needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care.
• Diagnosed and treated patients suffering from chronic conditions.
• Did minor OT, Suturing, Incision & Debridment, NG Tube insertion, catheterization.
• Assisted in major surgical procedures like cholecystectomy, laprotomy, pilonidial sinus excision, skin grafting, mole excision, appendectomy & operating on perianal fistulas.
• Completed daily rounds with patients to check conditions and adjust treatment plans.
• Placed and managed central venous lines and other invasive procedures in ICU patients.

• Ophthalmology : May 2023 - Aug 2023.

• I joined ophthalmology and learnt about common eye diseases, their diagnosis and management.
• I did learn how to do refraction and how to use slit lamp for eye examination, advising glasses and managing different eye diseases.
• I observed and assisted cataract surgery procedures, like Phacoemulsification, ECCE and minor OT procedures like pterygium excision, granuloma excision etc.

• Completed daily rounds with patients to check conditions and adjust treatment plans.
• Managed acute emergency conditions like angina, MI & responded them promptly.
• Did manage to learn ACLS protocols, CPR, Defibrillation, CVP line insertion etc.
• Management of hypertensive emergencies.
• Placed and managed central venous lines and other invasive procedures in ICU patients.
• Stayed up to date on latest research regarding indicators of heart disease and treatment options.
• Recommended positive lifestyle changes to reduce patient's risk of heart disease.
• Educated patients on risk factors for serious disease such as diet and activity level.

• Learned history taking, examination & evaluation of patients and conducting rounds with seniors.

• Learned to manage emergencies like fits, trauma, lacerations, blood transfusion, IV sampling & cannula insertion, ECG & xray interpretation.
