- After completion of my 05 years MS Anesthesia training joined ICU of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute (PKLI) on contract basis. PKLI is a JCI accredited state of the art hospital in Lahore ,Pakistan . PKLI ICU department comprises of 18 bedded SURGICAL ICU for providing critical care to pre and post operative liver transplant and post kidney transplant, post urological, general surgery and gynae patient & there is also a separate 13 bedded MEDICAL ICU for preop kidney & liver transplant urological and post TACE & gastroenterology patients. There is also a 06 bedded HDU for stable patients.
- Recently PKLI successfully completed the milestone of more than 1000 successful liver & 1100 kidney transplants.
- I took part in the post op care of almost most of these patients as the post of stay of these patient span for atleast 5 post operative days in case of liver transplant cases & atleast 2 days stay in case of kidney transplant patients .
- Working as registrar ICU i took part in Coordinated multidisciplinary team efforts to optimize patient admission processes, significantly enhancing overall workflow efficiency.
- Implemented electronic health record systems to streamline patient data management, new admission protocols, improving information accessibility and accuracy.
- Led initiatives to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations according to JCI guidelines, enhancing patient safety and institutional standards.
- Developed & took part in training programs certified for staff on critical care in ICU PKLI, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
