• Performing acceptance & continuance checks, such as World checks, PEP checks and adverse media checks. Liaison with clearers for setting up of clients and ensuring completion of on-boarding within the given deadlines

Client: Muhammad Amer Riaz Securities (Private.) Limited

• Drafted Risk Assessment and AML/CFT Policy & Procedures for the company as per the Guidelines of the regulatory bodies (PSX, SCEP & CDC).
• Streamlined the company’s end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle; including risk assessment, customer risk rating redesign, and KYC standards re-definition.
• Diversified exposure of service lines between; Compliance and Internal Audit Control Reviews, Policies, and Procedure Reviews mainly focused on Brokerage and Financial Services Institution in Pakistan.

Research and Product Development Team:

• Researched the market for SME Market to develop a SME Credit Rating Instrument.
• Researched the local AMC market for offering GIPS verification services.

Rating Team:

• Conducted financial and industrial analysis on the basis of developed frameworks to figure out the industrial risks and financial health of the client.
• Liaison with client’s financial and management team to build and understanding of the client’s entity.
• Manage the assigned client portfolio with a team of six people, assign ratings to the clients annually and conduct a check bi-annually.
