Passionate and disciplined individual seeking a Graduate Research position with the Gender Studies/Social Sciences department to pursue extensive research. To examine feasible approaches that may assist to explore new research avenues in social sciences and gender studies with special focus on Asia and Pakistan.


As instructor and researcher in an academic institution I always keep myself abreast of the new research and theories in the field of gender studies and especially in the areas of my interest such as gender based violence in Asia and particularly in South Asia and Pakistan.


Areas of Research Interests:

Feminist Theories; Masculinities and Femininities; Gender Based Violence; Sociology of Gender; Feminist Anthropology; Gender and Human Rights in Pakistan; Feminist/ Social Research Methods.

  • Worked as an internee in the project of UNDP (gender justice through Musalihat Anjuman project, GJTMAP) for 08 weeks, at local government complex sanda road, Lahore.
  • Participated in workshops and presentations related to projects to gain knowledge.
  • Maintained accurate records and documentation of projects to inform stakeholders of progress and updates.
  • Took meeting notes and compiled paperwork to support department.
  • Transcribed the cases of of gender violence from Urdu into English language for project recordkeeping.

2008- Participated as a facilitator in the training of trainers (ToT’s) convened by Gender Justice through Musalihat Anjuman Project (GJTMAP) Punjab A PROJECT OF UNDP and department of gender studies, the university of Punjab from 1st Nov to 5th (1st ToT) and from 12th to 16th (2nd ToT) Nov 2008.


2008- Worked as a field assistant in the educational project with UNICEF and WORLD BANK for 23 days in the various districts of Punjab (Multan, Okara, Attock, Hafizabad, and Faisalabad).
