He was born to a well-known academician, journalist and author, Late Prof Waris Mir in Lahore on October 17, 1969. He first studied at Government College University, Lahore and then at Punjab University, Lahore.
Distinction
Won the prestigious All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) Award in the category of Best Investigative Journalist for the year 2006.
