My Publications

  • 2024, Unveiling The Enigmatic Intrigue Of Plasmodium Knowlesi, The Fifth Human Pathogen Plasmodium knowlesi was initially considered a simian malaria parasite but is now recognized as a significant human pathogen, prevalent in Africa and Southeast Asia. It is transmitted by Anopheles dirus and Anopheles crascens mosquitoes, primarily from the leucosphyrus group, and has infiltrated ten Southeast Asian nations. The review article aims to unravel the enigmatic intrigue of Plasmodium knowlesi, highlighting its emergence as a predominant human malaria parasite. It also compares P. knowlesi with other parasitic players in malaria. Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences, 11, 4, 91-97
  • 2024, UNLOCKING CRISPR/CAS POTENTIAL TO TACKLE MULTI-DRUG RESISTANT PATHOGENS Rapid emergence of multi drug resistant super bugs is a major concern for the health of individual world wide. In this scientific era antibiotic resistance is still one of the most leading cause of death among patients. In order to combat this deadly problem latest strategies have been suggested that deal with notorious infections causing pathogenic bacteria. The most common and widely used treatment is prescription of antibiotic drugs. Antibiotics are losing their effectiveness day by day as most of the bacteria has developed resistance against them. It has been proved that these pathogenic organisms are using both phenotypes and genetic modifications in order to enable a natural defence against antibiotics and this lead to elevated resistance to the class of antibiotic that has been used. Ali Raza Nawab, Vol.31 No.04 (2024): JPTCP, 1454-1472
  • 2025, ELISA and qRT-PCR-Based Diagnosis of Dengue and Chikungunya Virus Co-Infections during the 2023-24 Outbreak in Punjab, Pakistan
  • Note: This is a preprint; it is under process to be reviewed by a journal. Dengue virus (DENV) and Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) pose significant public health threats in tropical and subtropical regions, including Pakistan. The coexistence of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus vectors in these areas facilitate viral co-circulation and human co-infection. This study investigated the prevalence, clinical manifestations, and diagnostic challenges of DENV and CHIKV infections during the 2023-2024 outbreaks in Punjab, Pakistan, Ali Raza Nawab, Hasnain Javed, Fasihat ul ain, Muhammad Nauman Aftab, Research Square, 1, 2025-08-21
  • 2023, Association of Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Risk of Pancreatic Cancer: A Review According to an estimate, approximately, 350 million people frequently suffer with the hepatitis B virus (HBV), which can be spread by sexual promiscuity, working in the medical sector, undergoing dialysis, receiving transfusions of unscreened blood, getting tattoos, having a close relationship with an HBV carrier, and reusing injections by intravenous drug users. , Ali Raza Nawab, Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences, 11, 2, 37-51
  • 2024, MICROBIAL ENZYMES AS VERSATILE TOOLS FOR THEIR POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS IN FOODSTUFF INDUSTRY The use of enzymes or microorganisms in food preparations is a very old process. Food preparations have long utilized enzymes or microorganisms. Microorganisms and enzymes are used in food preparations for centuries. The use of microbial enzymes in the dairy sector is of great importance as they can increase the yield of dairy products and improve their organoleptic properties such as taste, color and odor. Various microbial enzymes are used in the dairy industry. , Ali Raza Nawab, INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF BIOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY, 21, 1, 149-167
  • 2024, FROM NATURE TO INDUSTRY: HARNESSING THE POWER OF PECTINASE TOWARDS POTENTIAL BIOTECHNOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS Pectinase or pectinolytic enzymes perform the hydrolyzation of pectic substances. Pectinases are among the most prevalent enzymes in a variety of species, including fungi, bacteria, and plants. Not just, protopectinase, pectin esterases, lyases and polygalacturonases are present in abundance, but this also makes them the most researched pectinolytic enzymes. Protopectinase stimulates the process of protopectin activation., Hijab Zahra, Sikander Ali, Ali Raza Nawab, International Journal of Biology and Biotechnology, 21, 1, 17-35
  • 2024, Xylanases and Industrial Applications: A Review Hemicelluloses are a large family of heteropolysaccharides that are non-cellulosic and complicated. They are categorized based on the main monosaccharides that are found within their structure. The hydrolysis of the xylan polymers is carried out by an enzymatic complex, however two are the primary enzymes; one is beta-D-xylosidase and the other enzyme is endo-1,4-beta-xylanase. International Journal of Scientific Engineering and Science, 8, 76-88
  • 2025, STRUCTURAL DOCKING OF ANTIBIOTIC ENTECAVIR FOR THE TREATMENT OF PEDIATRIC ACUTE LIVER FAILURE BY USING DISCOVERY STUDIO This research specifically focused on children who have experienced acute liver failure in the field of pediatric liver transplantation (LT). Acute liver failure in children is a complex, life-threatening illness that can either go away on its own or result in death.
  • In-silico analysis of highly pathogenic variants of RET gene associated with thyroid cancer The proto-oncogene RET is composed of 21 exons located on chromosome 10 (10q11.2) and encodes for a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase for members of the glial cell line–derived neurotrophic factor family (GDNF) and associated ligands, and mutations in this gene can cause Thyroid cancer in humans. Therefore, we anticipated studying the consequences of RET non-synonymous variations using advanced bioinformatics tools. Analysis of the genetic mutations in the gene, accomplished using computational methods.
