I am responsible for the following tasks:

• Financial consolidation, reporting and compliances of 17 entities operating in 09 diverse jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate group financials in accordance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
• Lead group tax planning and strategy across 09 diverse jurisdictions, navigating complex tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
• Oversee corporate governance and secretarial matters for a multinational portfolio, spanning Hong Kong, Jersey and British Virgin Island, maintaining statutory records, filings and regulatory compliances.
• Key role in complex group restructuring projects, encompassing redomiciliations, mergers, share transfers and capital raising, driving strategic business objectives and minimizing tax liabilities.
• Streamlining and maintaining group accounting policies ensuring alignment with IFRS, regulatory requirements and corporate standards to facilitate accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making.
• Facilitating strategic decision-making by coordinating quarterly Board and Risk Committee meetings, preparing comprehensive board presentations and ensuring seamless execution of governance and risk management process.

I was responsible for leading the following ares:

• Management reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Accounts payable

My detailed responsibilities were as follows:

• Review of monthly management reporting deliverables
• Analysis of monthly performance statement and critical analysis of account balances to identify any inconsistency
• Review of budget and forecast,
• Reviewing and submission of COS templates to the Group
• Coordination with auditors with respect to audit activities
• Reviewing weekly income tax working and monthly sales tax working
• Reviewing and sign off accounts payable vouchers for preparation of cheques.
• Reviewing weekly income tax file and monthly sales tax file for submission to tax department

I was responsible for the following tasks:

• Preparing the Unconsolidated and Consolidated Financial Statements of one of the biggest bank of Pakistan.
• Preparing Exchange Translation Reserve working for the Bank's overseas operations.
• Preparing Non-Controlling Interest working for the Bank's subsidiaries.
• Preparing equity accounting working for the Bank's associates.
• Calculating monthly Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) for submission to State Bank of Pakistan.
• Coordinating with external auditors and State Bank of Pakistan auditors.
• Ensuring compliance with the regulatory reporting guidelines.
• Assessing whether the financial statements are in compliance with the regulatory guidelines.

I was responsible for the following tasks:

• Supervision, review and finalization of an engagement.
• Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at appropriate level of responsibility.
• Consultation and evaluation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts etc.
• Review of clients' financial statements and ensuring consistency with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local laws and directives of regulatory authorities.
• Conducting in-house workshops & training sessions on updates in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
