I am an Environmental Engineer / EHS Manager, with versatile experience of industrial sectors.
Manager HSE & Environment. I have experience of working in projects to recognize, assess and appraise
infrastructure projects for environmental and social risks and I have implementation experience of relevant donor
agencies safeguards to reduce and mitigate risk to an acceptable level. I have closely worked with Bangladeshi,
Turkish, and France experts in the planning, documentation, and implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Social management systems. I have a proven track record in developing project-related documents such as Environment & Social Framework, Environment Social Impact Assessment, Environmental, and Social (E&S) policies, Health, Safety & Environment(HSE) management plans, stakeholder’s engagement plans and Sustainability of industrial Resources Management in line with internationally accepted standards and formats of World Bank,In addition to this.
Working on 720MW of KAROT HYDRO POWER PROJECT.
1. Work with GSUK senior management team to take the lead in implementing Corrective Action Plan (CAP) against issues raised by IFC/MML and Karot Team shall fully coordinate with GSUK in this regard.
2. Develop all the policies, procedures, formats and plans required by IFC/MML in a systematic and detailed manner, including but not limited to labour and EHS Staffing Plan, workers accommodation management plan, work resumption policy, CV19 protocols, policy and prevention plan, Protocols for management on document retention, FOM Policy, policies related to grievance mechanism, and HSE and HR Elements.
3. Actively contribute to formulation and implementation of HSE program's and policies.
4. To support GSUK on implementation of social and labour and HSE code of conduct.
5. Generate regular reports for GSUK management to interactand respond to requirements raised by IFC/MML.
6. Coordinate on overall implementation of social, labour and HSE standards at worksite.
7. Represent the work unit as a technical expert on international labour standards, HSE, international labour law or labour relations.facilitate the preparation of meetings and the finalisation of documents and reports of such meetings.
8. Conduct the regular site visit and inspection/audit regarding HSE checklist, Work at height, Crane operation/inspection, Confined Space, Hot work, Scaffolding, Material handling, appropriate use of PPE's and inspection of labour accommodations .
9. Assurance pf PTW at worksite.
10. Conduct job specific trainings.
11. Participate the Toll Box Talk (TBT).
12. Develop the monthly activity planner according to IFC/MML CAP requirements with Karot Team.
13. Conduct the risk analysis and also highlight the hazards and impact on social & environment.
14. Ensure the National Environmental Quality Standards (NEQS) at worksite.
15. Conduct the inspection/audit on fire management systems.
16. Implement the NEPA codes at worksite to prevent the fire risk.
17. Participate the CSR activities along with GSUK & Karot management.
Working on EHS & Compliance, my core responsibilities include the following;To deliver a complete solution for multiple sectors by leading the team.
1. Manage routine data management and reporting to the senior management, including monthly updates, ad-hoc reports and long-term strategy.
2. Manage and close out EMS non-conformities, and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
3. Direct post-accident investigations and prepare reports to identify possible accident causes and hazards.
4. Develop recommendations to reduce hazards by improving gear, behaviors and procedures.
5. Lead a team of 5 EHS officers and conduct an inspections of different AM-Units per week.
6. Develop and implement safety awareness communications between workers and management to increase hazard awareness.
7. Deliver and coordinate health and safety training for around about 2000 employees, educating them on workplace regulations OHSA standards, policies and procedures.
8. Identify optimal prevention strategies by conducting thorough investigations and analyses, reducing accidents.
9. Identified employees in need of updated training and safety certification to exercise appropriate risk-management solutions, reducing risks.
10. Conduct risk assessment and share to management for implement the preventive measures to control the risk hazards.
11. Assurance and implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) activity at worksite.
12. Prepared reports with facts and figures related to departmental operations for engineer and manager review.
13. Conduct the internal audit/ inspection of departments for continual improvements and sustain HSE culture and environmental safe guard.
14. Review the inspection checklist of fire management system conducted by fire & safety officers and ensuring update the fire equipments at work stations.
15. Conduct the JSA to reducing the risk at work stations.
16. Oversight of hazardous waste management/Chemical management, handling and containment practices.
17. Ensure the MSDS at work site and implement the protocols of MSDS.
18. Conduct refreshers trainings to EHS & Fire & Safety officers to implement regulatory compliances, and OHSA standards/NFPA codes.
19. Develop the ERT, Fire & Safety and First Aid teams which respond in case of emergency.
20. Prepare HSE plans and procedures as per client and/or third party requirements and guidelines.
21. Responsible for Environmental & Social external audits.
22. Ensure the NEQS standards at all AM-Units.
23 . Responsible for IEE/EIA/EMP/ HSMP for all AM-Units.
