I was working as a manager in southern cross-protection in w.a Australia, where I was leading a team of a handful of professionals in the industry. My main role includes but is not limited to,

• Risk Assessment and mitigation, one of the most important responsibilities was to assess and mitigate the potential safety and security threats that could cause damage to my team and clients. What I learnt from my experience is to assess the situation before occurs a problem and take the necessary steps to mitigate it.
• Training and management was another role of the position, making sure that every team member is well trained and fit for the role they are at. Conducting weekly toolbox meetings and listening and observing any concerns of the team and providing extra training and counselling if required. Conducting performance reviews every quarter to enhance a professional environment within the organization.
• Policy enforcement was another key responsibility of the position, as everything strictly goes by books and the company could face heavy repercussions in case of not complying, my role was to make sure every team member is well aware of the laws and policies. For example how to respond to dangerous situations, whom to call, how to ensure your safety and the safety of the people around you.
• Another important role was to comply with safety and security regulations, that include both national and local standards.

The above-mentioned roles were just a synopsis of what the basic responsibilities were, but not limited to the role, I always put my best to bring security advancements and modernization within the company, and always looked for ways to make operations more efficient.
